Kier (No Love Lost)

Nick Foster has nominated Kier Fitzpatrick.

Kier lives two seperate lives. By day he works as an IT Systems Analyst at Wellington based IT consultancy Fish Serve, and by night he takes a lot of his tech knowledge to the stage, displaying excruciating levels of energy playing keyboards for Wellington metal / synthcore band NO LOVE LOST.

Kier is not your typical geek. If you're out drinking on the weekend and get the pleasure of meeting him, you'd think he was a rockstar fulltime. Tattoos for Africa, black tight jeans and a Poison t-shirt - yet at the same time he's twittering away on his iPhone or secretly doing work on the fly.

On stage his setup looks more like something that NASA has engineered - laptops, cables, midi controllers, switches, knobs. All things that perplex most of the band but Kier can gain understanding off immediately. Not only does he put his trust into the band that none of it will get damaged, but he secretly wants it to so he can fix it!

In my eyes, I.T and rockstar never sounded good together until Kier came along.

    As a radio DJ I know talent when I see it and I’ve been watching this boys talent grow for many years. Form sharing the stage with him in a previous band to watching him perform on stage I don’t think there’s anyway a photo could be taken of him, even passed out, that he doesn’t look like a rockstar in.
    If anyone could bleed IT wisdom and rockstar style it would be this guy!
