Scott Green

When Scott Green joined Axon in 1989 in a junior sales role, the company had eight staff all operating from a small bungalow in Newmarket. Today as CEO he manages New Zealand’s largest privately-owned ICT services company with more than 350 people working from offices in Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington and Christchurch.

During that time, he has held a variety of strategic roles and responsibilities within Axon, including General Manager – Client Services, General Manager – eFormation (eBusiness division), General Manager – Marketing and Service Design, and General Manager – Marketing and Corporate.

He became a shareholder and director of the company in 1995 and has either directly managed, or played a key role, in the development of Axon’s business strategy, the development of services, its marketing, and the development of its internal systems and processes.

He has been involved in large scale business success and commercial negotiations at Foodstuffs, TOWER and Air New Zealand, and has extensive customer service focused problem resolution skills.

On taking over the CEO role in 1995 from Matt Kenealy, Axon’s founder and majority shareholder, Scott Green has continued to foster Axon’s unique culture, with its reputation for integrity as well as technical excellence. He is a champion of Axon’s vision of being New Zealand’s “Most Recommended” provider of ICT business solutions by always going the extra mile to achieve the best possible outcomes for customers, for staff and for business partners.

Under Scott Green’s leadership Axon has become increasingly profitable, has increased its market share and has delivered industry-leading returns to shareholders.

During his time at Axon, Scott Green has pursued his passion for Hockey, inherited by his twin daughters who now play Hockey at a senior representative level. He plays a strong game of golf. Along the way he has added an Auckland University MBA (1995) to his original Batchelor of Commerce (1985).
